Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas. I think we can all agree that we should be putting Christ back into Christmas. We need to stop the secularization of this country and get it back to its Christian roots, just as the founding fathers intended.

You are claiming to be such a good Christian, yet you spell Christian with a small c. Christian is a proper noun referring to those of us who worship God through Jesus Christ. I really resent people like yourself who use the Christian faith for your own right wing agenda. As a Christian, I believe that respect is due for all God's creation. I believe God loves all of us. I believe God does not want us to kill each other and destroy the world with our greedy plans for world domination. I believe God would want us to research safer, cleaner fuels to use in place of oil. I believe God would want us to use the brains he gave us to allow scientific research to benefit and advance our society. I pray that God will release you from you hard hearted nature.

I agree, who founded our country? Not a single guy. The declaration of independance was signed by 13 men after they prayed for a couple hours. Why does it have "In God we trust" on our curency. My kids school isn't aloud to celibrate Christmas because it might offend the few non- Christains. Fine I say, let them have a holiday program and keep it politacly correct so noone is hurt. Just have it some other time. We are busy celibrating Christ's birth. The reason why our forefathers came here. Anonymous- you are name calling but won't sign yours? Lynne

You want to put Christ where? Back into Christmas? You cannot be serious, since when did Christ have ANYTHING to do with Christmas? Christmas was repackaged LONG ago, hell to this day Coca Cola still holds the copyright to the image of Santa.

Where in the Bible does it tell the story of Santa Claus, or Rudolph, or tell us to put up our Christmas Trees, and/or Misletoe or Wreaths. If you actually read the Bible, you would know that Christ was born after the Spring, not on December 25th. It is a pagan holiday we celebrate on Christmas. How do you like THEM apples?!?!

Stop the secularization of this country, as if I can twirl a dead cat in this country and NOT hit a Christian Church!!

And by the way, if you think our Founding Fathers were such good Christians, you should know that they Didn't believe in the Immaculate Conception. They were products of the "Enlightenment." Not only did they NOT believe Jesus was born from a virgin birth, they also didn't want this country to confuse religious matters, with matters of the state. They ARE seperate matters all together in this country. Or at least they USED to be.

If you want a specific date for a birthday, would it be spring in the land Christ was born? During tax time. Does the exact date count? Todays traditions have nothing to do with Christain beliefs. Pagens were first to start such rituals at "Christan" traditions incorporated at their "conversion", to make it easier. I am intrested to know where you came up with the idea the founding fathers didn't believe in imaculate conception? And who would want to swing a dead cat? Or is that one of your rituals?

He's running through the woods so black
A loyal servant of christ
Dogs are barking down his back
He's running for his life

He came with words of love and peace
These heathens had to be saved
He thought that he could make them see
Instead he was enslaved

In captivity he spoke of god
To all he met he preached
But when his master's patience ran out
He knew he had to flee

Tears are running down his cheeks
As he sobbign realizes
That in this land his god is weak
And today he's going to die

He stumbles out onto an open field
Where an old oak tree grows
In the branches hang men of three
Dressed in preacher robes

His knees refuse to carry him on
Terror shines in his eyes
His faith in christ is almost gone
His god's left him to die
Below the dead he says his prayers
To the god he thought was alive
When he hears a calm voice say:
"SHUT HIM UP AND HANG HIM HIGH!"

As his breath leaves his eyes open wide
A bright light comes from above
He greets this light with a smile
And thinks: "There is a God"

The sound of eight hooves reaches his ears
Comes from the heavenly light
Two wolves' howls fill his heart with fear
And he sees two ravens fly
Down from the sky a warlord rides
Like fire his one eye glows
And just before the preacher dies
He knows his god is false
