WMD found in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Aug. 13 -- U.S. troops raiding a warehouse in the northern city of Mosul uncovered a suspected chemical weapons factory containing 1,500 gallons of chemicals believed destined for attacks on U.S. and Iraqi forces and civilians, military officials said Saturday.

Monday's early morning raid found 11 precursor agents, "some of them quite dangerous by themselves," a military spokesman, Lt. Col. Steven A. Boylan, said in Baghdad.

Combined, the chemicals would yield an agent capable of "lingering hazards" for those exposed to it, Boylan said. The likely targets would have been "coalition and Iraqi security forces, and Iraqi civilians," partly because the chemicals would be difficult to keep from spreading over a wide area, he said.

I wonder if the liberal media will finally admit Bush was right about WMD in Iraq. I doubt it. I suspect his story will soon be forgotten.

Okay -- so I found the story myself, and you left off some details (BTW, some friendly advice -- if you mark something as a quote, you need to actually attribute it to the source, not just say you found it somewhere). Anyway -- Here's the story, and here's the quote you parsed out:

U.S. troops, acting on a tip from detainees under interrogation, raided a "suspected insurgent chemical production facility" in northern Iraq last Tuesday, the statement said, without specifying the location.

It doesn't say the chemicals they found are from Hussein's regime - even the military - who found the warehouse -are saying the insurgents , you know, the ones who are becoming less and less of a threat, were producing the chemicals.

Liberals sure are stupid -- just click on the post title and it takes you the source.
And the chemicals being produced after the fall of Saddam is obviously liberal spin.

Nice. Refute my statement by saying "nuh-uh" and calling me stupid. Are you twelve? Very brave for someone hiding behind a nickname.

How is a quote from the military "liberal slant"?

Nice moron, you crop the fourth paragraph which shoots your post/argument to shit:

"Boylan said the suspected lab was new, dating from some time after the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in 2003. The Bush administration cited evidence that Saddam Hussein's government was manufacturing weapons of mass destruction as the main justification for the invasion. No such weapons or factories were found."

New chemical site that is post-U.S. invasion. Which means it couldn't be Hussein's.

Goddamn, you're stupid, son.

Because it's not possible that these chemicals were brought by the new wave of terrorists getting their chance to shoot at the infidels.

Don't hold your breath.....Do people not look at facts, we are aware that many (liberal media) report on their own spin and do not admit to a correction.

Between all the intelligence from other countries and the FACT that WMD WAS used on their people,............ what do they think it was a fairy tale! DUH???

It is beyond me how they (ref. above) are brain washing so many minds and especially the younger ones. (TODAY: 9/16- I posted two days now on subliminal messages (they) send to viewers and ones that listen.

From the first paragraph you cut off...

"[Lt. Col.] Boylan said the suspected lab was new, dating from some time after the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in 2003. The Bush administration cited evidence that Saddam Hussein's government was manufacturing weapons of mass destruction as the main justification for the invasion. No such weapons or factories were found."

Doh!
